Building a Redfish King
Stripped up to the bow stem end.
The bow view.
Building "staple-less" requires many
clamps a few rolls of tape.
Did mention tape? Or creative clamping?
The stern contains a "nice"
compound bend, as evident in
this photo.  I used a heat gun to
prebend the strip, but still it
requires tape and clamps.
Stripped to the center line.
Bow view.
Hull glassed Oct 20!
56 strips glued together with the mahogany stems shaped.  Sanding
and a bit of filling waits!
Stern end with shaped outer stem.

Bow view of completed hull.
Hull after wetting.
Hull before wetting to raise grain.
Since cooler weather is upon us, I
transported the hull, strongback and all, to
an inside work area for the fiberglassing.
Hull glassed with 6oz cloth and stems
reinforced with 6oz 3" tape.  I'll wait until the
hull and deck are together to add a
waterline 4oz cloth to the bottom.
